At least two illegal immigrants who came ashore in Palm Beach last week have been deported in the past.
Twelve people were rounded up after their boat showed up near the north end of the island last Friday.
The captain, a Bahamian national, was charged with human smuggling.
One of the nine Chinese nationals on board was also arrested and charged with illegal re-entry. There were also two women from Cuba on the boat.
According to court documents, the captain was deported from Miami to Nassau just three days before the trip to Palm Beach and the Chinese man had been kicked out of the country in August.
Agents say he made a comment that if he was deported, he would keep coming back to the United States.
